How much is a first class stamp?
A 1st Class stamp costs £1.80 and a 2nd Class stamp costs £0.91 for a standard letter up to 100g. See our full stamp price list.
What is the cheapest way to send a parcel in the UK?
For small, light items a drop-off courier such as Evri or an InPost locker is usually cheapest, from around £2.62. Royal Mail Tracked 48 bought online costs £3.75 for a small parcel up to 1kg and is cheaper than 2nd Class at the counter. Use the calculator above to compare for your exact parcel.
How do I know if my item is a letter, large letter or parcel?
It depends on size and weight. A Large Letter must be no bigger than 35.3 × 25 × 2.5cm and 750g. Anything thicker than 2.5cm is a parcel. Our parcel size guide explains each size.
